Bessie Coleman is the first African- American female pilot in the world, and she was resilient in every way. She was not allowed to attend flight school in America, so she decided to go to school in France. She received her license and she still found time to fight against segregation. Before she died, she intended to open up a school to teach girls to fly. She shattered glass ceilings for women and African-Americans.
