The Alice Ball tee honors chemist Alice Augusta Ball, whose work changed the treatment of leprosy in the early 20th century.
At just 24 years old, Ball developed a method for making chaulmoogra oil injectable and usable as an effective treatment — work that became known as the Ball Method. Her discovery helped countless patients, even though her contributions were not fully recognized during her lifetime.
