Hallie Quinn Brown was a trailblazing educator, orator, and historian, a true HERSTORIAN who believed Black women’s lives deserved to be documented, celebrated, and remembered. In 1926, she authored Homespun Heroines and Other Women of Distinction, one of the earliest books devoted entirely to preserving the stories of Black women who shaped history.
This t-shirt honors Hallie Quinn Brown as a woman who refused to let Black women’s contributions be erased and who ensured our history would be told in our own words.
